Asset audit and custody

Who actually owns your domain?

If your IT person left tomorrow, could you still get into your company email? The audit tells you.

We check your domain, email and hosting from public records and a 20-minute call, and send you a 2-page note within 3 working days. If you want, we then hold it all for you, in your name, and keep it renewed.

Request the audit

Two fields. We ask everything else on the call.

About 2 hours of our time, and we take on no more than 5 a week. It covers public records and a short call. It doesn’t include penetration testing, internal networks or fixes.

Who holds your company’s logins?

Five questions, about a minute. Your answers stay on your screen unless you ask for the free audit.

Question 1 of 5

Is your domain registered in the company’s name, not a person’s?

From audit to custody

The audit is free. Custody is the yearly service that keeps everything in order afterwards.

  1. Free audit

Your 2-page note: what you own, who holds it, and what needs fixing.

  2. Your estimate

We estimate custody from how many domains, mailboxes and websites you have and where they sit today. You see it before anything moves.

  3. One account, in your name

We move every domain, mailbox and website under one owner account your company controls, without breaking email or the website.

  4. Kept renewed

One register, an alert 90, 60 and 30 days before each renewal, one bill, and a check for savings at every renewal.

What custody includes

  • One register

Every domain, mailbox, website and app you own, with its renewal date and who uses it.

  • Everything in your name

Logins sit under an account your company controls. You keep legal ownership of every asset.

  • No surprise expiries

Alerts at 90, 60 and 30 days, and one person who makes sure each renewal happens.

  • Lower renewal bills

We check each renewal against what the asset is used for, and drop or move what costs too much.

  • A clean exit

If you move on, we hand over the register and every login in good order.

What you receive

A 2-page note. We mark each item and say who owns it.

MarkWhat it meansTypical example
FineIn place and owned by the right person. Nothing to do.SSL auto-renews on the company hosting account
Fix soonNot urgent, but worth putting on the list for the next few months.A renewal sitting on a personal card
Fix nowA gap that could stop email or the website, or leave the business locked out.A domain held by someone who has left

How to read the findings

Most gaps have a simple history. A vendor set something up years ago, a staff member moved on, or someone put a renewal on whatever card was to hand. The note starts a conversation about what you have. It doesn’t judge whoever looked after it.

You can fix the items yourself, ask your current provider, or ask us. If you ask us, you get a fixed price for the fixes before we start. That might be a Business Email Migration, a business email plan to look after your email, domains and accounts, or the Secure plan for firms that hold sensitive data.

Custody in practice, and where findings lead

Questions about the audit

Is it really free?

Yes. It takes about 2 hours of our time, and we cap it at 5 audits a week. There is no obligation to buy the fixes from us.

Do you need our passwords?

No. We check what is visible in public records (domain registration, DNS, mail and SSL settings) and ask the rest on a 20-minute call. Please don’t send passwords in the form.

Is this a security test?

No. It doesn’t include penetration testing, internal networks, or a policy or compliance review. It tells you who holds what, and whether the basics are in place.

How is custody priced?

We estimate it after the audit, because it depends on how many domains, mailboxes and websites you have and where they sit today. You see the estimate before anything moves, and the audit stays free either way.

Do we lose control of our accounts?

No. Everything stays in your company’s name and under an account you control. We hold the day-to-day running, and hand it all back whenever you ask.

What happens after the note?

We offer a short call to go through it. If you want us to fix anything, we quote first, and no work starts until you agree.
