  • A laptop with a modern browser. Most tasks also work in the Canva mobile app
  • A free Canva account. A Canva Pro plan unlocks Brand Kit and Bulk Create and is optional, not included
  • Reliable internet and data for live sessions
  • No design experience needed
What you’ll do

Week by week

  1. Week 1

    Set up the brand

    • Build a Brand Kit with logo, colours, fonts and brand voice
    • Apply layout, contrast and hierarchy basics so designs read at a glance on a phone
    • Create a set of locked templates the whole team can reuse
  2. Week 2

    Design with Canva AI

    • Generate first-draft layouts with Magic Design, then edit them to your brand
    • Write headlines and captions with Magic Write, then cut them to fit
    • Generate images with Dream Lab and edit photos with Magic Edit, Magic Eraser and background removal
  3. Week 3

    Produce in bulk

    • Produce a month of price-list or product graphics from one spreadsheet with Bulk Create
    • Resize one design for Instagram, WhatsApp Status, LinkedIn and print with Magic Switch
  4. Week 4

    Make short video and motion

    • Edit short vertical videos with captions, music and brand colours
    • Animate posts and presentations without a separate video tool
  5. Week 5

    Design documents that sell

    • Build a company profile or pitch deck from your Brand Kit
    • Prepare print-ready flyers, banners and business cards with bleed and correct colour settings
  6. Week 6

    Check, hand over and present

    • Check every AI image and claim for accuracy, rights and brand fit before it goes out
    • Organise folders and share permissions so a client or colleague can take over
    • Present your brand pack for a practitioner review

AI does the first draft and the repetitive resizing; you make the design decisions. You use Magic Design and Dream Lab for starting points, Magic Write for copy you then edit, and Bulk Create to turn one template and a spreadsheet into dozens of graphics. Before anything is published you check that faces, text in images, prices and product details are correct.

Canva in an AI Age: your questions answered

You can start on a free account. Brand Kit, Bulk Create and some AI tools need Canva Pro, which is optional and not included in the fee. We show you which parts need Pro so you can decide.
Yes, for most small-business work: social posts, flyers, price lists, presentations and short videos. Many clients prefer Canva because they can edit the templates you hand over. We also show you when a job needs a specialist design tool.
Only if you publish the first draft. The course teaches you to use AI for speed and your Brand Kit, layout judgement and editing for the final result.
