Digital Transformation Lead – Francophone Market

Purpose of the Role

To coordinate, drive, and monitor the digital transformation agenda for the Francophone market, ensuring alignment with the CEO & RCEO’s vision, business priorities, and operational realities. The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical direction, and operational oversight for the organization’s entire technology ecosystem. This includes enterprise infrastructure management, cybersecurity, business systems enablement, data analytics, and development of productivity-enhancing applications. Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Development: Work with the CEO & Regional Head, technology to define the digital transformation vision and priorities. Translate the strategic objectives into a 3–5-year roadmap with clear milestones.
  • Technology Landscape Assessment: Document and assess the current technology structure and legacy systems. Review current email system & network structure. Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for digitisation.
  • Programme Coordination: Lead planning, tracking, and reporting for all digital transformation initiatives. Act as the point of coordination between management, IT teams, and external partners with the guidance of Regional Head, Technology.
  • Process & Automation Improvement: Map existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation. Prioritise processes with the highest business impact.
  • Technology & Vendor Management: Support development/selection of digital tools, platforms, and external vendors in conjunction with Regional Head, Technology. Ensure proper integration between legacy systems and new digital solutions.
  • People & Change Management: Support change management, communication, and training activities. Help build a culture that embraces digital adoption and innovation.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Leverage digital tools and analytics to improve customer engagement and service delivery.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure digital initiatives comply with legal, security, and data protection requirements.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Measure the success of initiatives and report progress to the CEO, RCEO & Regional Head, Technology.

Required Skills

  • Experience in digital transformation, IT strategy, or business process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Network Security Management & Business continuity.
  • Strong understanding of digital tools, enterprise systems, and automation technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills in Data analytics and business intelligence and project-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills in French and English.
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Cybersecurity and risk management knowledge.
  • Prior experience in Francophone Africa is an advantage.
